Mission

HPP-Choose Hope’s Mission is to raise funds for research to find a treatment and cure and to improve the lives of those it affects, while educating Physicians and families about HPP.

HPP-Choose Hope is dedicated to ensuring excellence in these endeavors through the development and prudent stewardship of private resources. All fundraising initiatives happens through HPP-Choose Hope Foundation, which has applied for 501(c)(3) status as an organization.

Vision

We imagine a time when Hypophosphatasia is no longer a rare disease with no treatment or cure. By funding efforts in finding treatments and a cure, HPP-Choose Hope will help relieve suffering and improve the quality of life for HPP patients, and their families, and to be the strongest ally in the fight against Hypophosphatasia.

History

After 2 years of searching, on March 23, 2012, David was diagnosed with Hypophosphatasia. David made the decision to devote the remainder of his life to fighting this terrible disease, and to somehow make a difference. In July 2012, David and Jennifer Heaps started the HPP-Choose Hope Foundation to ensure a future free from this rare bone disease. One family cannot do it alone, which is why HPP-Choose Hope relies on the generosity of individuals, corporations, and community groups.
